Pricing
What are your rates?
We operate using adaptive pricing: Creative Fee + Post Production Fee.
Creative Fee: This component reflects the time and skill it takes to complete the project on a daily basis. We channel our energy for the best takes, focusing on quality and quantity during a Course of 10 hours to provide you with a variety of options. If a shoot requires more than one day, the creative fee will increase.
Post-Production Fee: After shooting sessions, we spend a significant amount of time editing your selected images by converting raw Files into top-notch pictures. This can include color correction, Blending lights and shadows, retouching, and preparing files for final delivery. Post Production takes Almost 10 days for each project to reach perfection and we take it very seriously.
What is cost sharing?
All the parties involved in your project, are interested in the pictures. So let’s bring them in and lower the cost of shoot. It’s a win-win for everyone!
Sharing the cost of a project is a common and valuable practice. It is very beneficial to consider other parties who might benefit from photographs of your project. The owner, interior designers, landscape architects, contractors, consultants, tenants, furniture manufacturers, engineers, etc. We charge 40% creative fee for each additional party, then divide the total fee by the number of parties involved, which can lead to huge savings for each client, specifically the main commissioner.
LICENSING & USAGE
Who owns the rights to images after a shoot?
All of our images are intellectual property and registered with the Canada databases in GC. We retain the copyrights to all the images we create. Images are licensed to clients for specific use and duration.
What is the standard license included with?
Our standard licensing includes 10 years of the following rights: Editorial, Trade Show Display, Corporate Collateral, Website, Social Media, Professional Competitions, Trade Magazines, and Wall Display.
For using the pictures in Advertisements, a different license must be obtained.
Can I share the images with others, like subcontractors, to use?
Third-party usage is not included with our standard licensing. If other contractors are interested in using the images, they must obtain a license for specific use from Nimkat Studio to avoid infringement. Or simply join the main client for the cost-sharing scenario.
Do you travel for shoots?
All the time. Even though Nimkat is centrally located in Toronto, we live a location-independent lifestyle, and the workflow is designed for travel. it allows us to easily travel to locations across the country where my clients’ projects are located. Travel expenses will result variously depending on the destination.
Can your work fulfill my exception?
While Nimkat has been proudly assigned based on its portfolio, We developed an interactive behavior to invite our clients into the creative process during a shoot. Putting both minds in, for the best results possible. Also, we take each picture seriously as if our work depended on it!
